The camp is built for advanced amateurs. The benchmark is a stable result of 1:35 (men) / 1:50 (women) for the half marathon, or 42:00 (men) / 50:00 (women) for 10 km. If you are close to those numbers but not certain, write to us — we will discuss your training history with the coach and give an honest answer.
The first 3–5 days of the programme are pure adaptation: easy volume, no hard sessions. Pace builds gradually from day four onwards. Most runners handle 2,400 m well when sleep, hydration, and the adaptation rule are respected.
Yes — a Kenyan e-Visa is required. It is applied online in 1–2 weeks and costs roughly USD 30. Your SportHoliday manager will walk you through the application.
There are no mandatory vaccinations for entry to Kenya from most European countries. Some travel doctors recommend hepatitis A and a tetanus/diphtheria booster — this is between you and your physician. A standard first-aid kit and insect repellent are part of the camp supplies.
It is real. Wilfred Bungei is an invited coach on the camp. The masterclass takes place on the stadium and includes a training session, a technique discussion, and a Q&A.
Yes. The group is built of strong amateur runners for whom running is a serious part of life. Daily training and shared meals close the distance quickly — most participants leave the camp with new running contacts.
Cancellation terms follow the standard SportHoliday policy: more than 60 days before the trip, the deposit is non-refundable but the balance is returned; 30 to 60 days before, a partial refund after deducting committed costs; under 30 days, no refund. Full terms on the Cancellation & Refund Policy page.
